Cellutech is a newly established company with the mission of commercializing the innovations developed by the researchers at the Wallenberg Wood Science Center (WWSC) and to promote the development of commercial products using Swedish forest raw materials. Cellutech was founded as a spin-off from SweTree Technologies in November 2012, taking over the company's Fiber Modification division including its employees, technology portfolio and IP.
Our focus is to bring new advanced sustainable wood-based materials to the market by serving as a link between academia and industry. Our unique work model includes identifying and protecting the innovations from researchers at WWSC Forskare AB as intellectual properties and either making them available for licensing, or by taking the technologies further by testing, demonstrating and advancing into actual applications and useful products.
We strive to explore the latest research and our location at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, enables us to work closely with university researchers which is a great resource for creating new innovations.
